Colleen was my first best friend in 5th grade. She was strong, and independant and knew how to have fun! She always hit home runs in softball and won us first place every year! The following are the things that I would not have done as a kid if it werent for Colleen...collected stickers, gone to the "rec", played basketball as well, gone to Friendlys for a reeses pieces, gone to Danny Russos party (who she loved in 7th grade)known Jason Kimber or Jay Whittle, been best friends with Mary Young, Kissed Tommy behind the stair at the rec center,...I could go on and on...
I know Colleen struggled with her own demons throughout her life, especially toward the end. I also know that we all go through hard times at some point in our lives. Some of us are lucky enough to get through those times, (and I do mean lucky). Some of us have not met our hard time yet. I will always remember all of the great things about our childhood together. I hope that Colleen's children can look at these fond memories about their Mom, and see what I have seen...

Taken from an email sent by Alexander J. Massa Sr to the MHS89' Web Master:

Colleen is missed but not forgotten. She had 4 wonderful children out of chaos she, endured. She was living in Port Charlotte Fla when she passed as a result of medical problems.

Thank You.
